Periodically the Diablo FireSafe Council has funding to directly help homeowners in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.  Currently Defensible Space Fuel Reduction Project funding is available to Contra Costa County residents courtesy of a National Fire Plan grant through the California Fire Safe Council.  To learn more about the program, or apply for funding see the Program Description and Funding Application Package or email DFSC at DFSCMiller@comcast.net or call 877-725-6803.
